Dear colleagues,

I am writing to provide an update on the campus implementation of the teaching faculty series job codes, following the changes to APS 5060 that introduced new teaching professor titles. The implementation process has been delayed pending the creation of job codes in CU’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system and revisions to offer letter templates by CU System. I am happy to share that most of these components are now in place, paving the way for campuswide implementation in three phases.

Phase 1 great news: The use of the new job codes in Phase 1 is now in effect. Updated offer letter templates are now available on the Faculty Affairs’ website and will be distributed to the HR/Faculty Personnel staff at the dean’s offices and primary unit HR liaisons.

Informing the HR/Faculty Personnel Community

The Implementation of Teaching Faculty Job Codes document outlines the impacted job codes, details of each phase, and specific actions that HR/Faculty Personnel staff across campus should take to implement the new teaching faculty job codes. On May 10th, this document was shared with the HR/Faculty Personnel staff at the dean’s offices and primary unit HR liaisons part of the Campus HR Service Center (HRSC) community.

Faculty Experience

The Office of Faculty Affairs continues to work closely with the Campus HRSC team to ensure a seamless implementation. Our aim is for each individual teaching faculty member to experience minimal to no disruption in their roles and responsibilities both in the classroom and on campus.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions. The Office of Faculty Affairs always wants to help, so be in touch via facultyaffairs@colorado.edu.

Thank you so much for your support and patience. Take good care and enjoy the first sips of summer.
