My name is Alejandro Trejo. I am an upcoming second year at the University Colorado Â鶹¹ÙÍø. I am a first-generation Leeds Honors student currently studying accounting, finance, and computer science thorough CU's business and computer science integration program. I was born and raised in Westminster, Colorado and attended high school at Pomona High School in Arvada, Colorado where I was honored to be the Valedictorian of my 2023 class. I am particularly fascinated by the ways in which technology is reshaping the landscape of finance and accounting. Through my studies, I am not only gaining proficiency in traditional accounting practices but also exploring how cutting-edge technologies can enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial processes. At CU, I am involved with the Diverse Scholars Program in which I received a gold medal of excellence for my academic efforts. I also had the opportunity to travel to Dubai to learn about its economy through the First Year Global Experience program in the spring of 2024. As a Resident Advisor for Cheyenne Arapaho, I have the privilege of serving as a mentor, leader, and resource for students living in university housing. In this dynamic role, I am entrusted with fostering a supportive and inclusive residential community that promotes personal growth, academic success, and holistic well-being. Through these achievements, I am determined to continue to strive for excellence in academics and my career following graduation.Â
