The annual Â鶹¹ÙÍø Star Lighting Ceremony – November 11, 2020 at 6:00pm
The Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s ROTC Joint Service Colorguard participated in the annual Â鶹¹ÙÍø Star relighting ceremony on Veteran’s Day – Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 6:00pm.
This annual event is held in honor of the veteran community and an opening, if you will, of the upcoming holiday season. The star was first lit on Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Flagstaff Mountain in December 1947.
To ensure COVID-19 precautions, only a small number of people were able to participate in this virtual event hosted by John Tayer from the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Chamber and Rex Laceby representing the CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø Veterans Alumni Association. The ceremony was conducted on the roof of the Colorado Building in downtown Â鶹¹ÙÍø.Â
