Dr. Carole MacNeil is a specialist in youth and community development, education, youth civic engagement, and community-based/participatory research with over 20 years of experience in working with youth, communities, schools, and youth-serving organizations. She has served as a consultant, trainer, and/or organizational leader for numerous NGO’s and educational institutions in the US and internationally, with a special interest in developing and post-conflict contexts. As a consultant, her work focuses on capacity building for youth-serving organizations; program design and evaluation; youth-led development; civic engagement; human rights; and peace building/conflict transformation. She has worked in partnership with multiple international agencies and organizations, including US AID, UN-Habitat, World Bank, Chemonics, EDC, Mercy Corps, IREX, Refugee Education Trust (RET Int’l), and others. ÌýShe has published and presented worldwide on youth-led development/civic engagement, youth leadership, and youth-adult partnerships.
