This study aimed to analyze听how the community interacted听with a听new walking infrastructure in Westwood, Denver, and to determine听whether the walkway renovations听had听positive impacts in the area.听听We used a mixed-method approach to evaluate residents'听walking behavior听in the neighborhood and assess how new infrastructure and design features听have affected people鈥檚 perception of the walking environment. Study results suggest听a general need for wider sidewalks and higher quality walking infrastructure in the neighborhood. According to findings, there is no viable proof that alleyway renovations have enhanced pedestrian use. Also, there is a need for more crosswalks around the schools and businesses in Westwood.听听
