Sidewalk in a neighborhood.This study aimed to analyzeÌýhow the community interactedÌýwith aÌýnew walking infrastructure in Westwood, Denver, and to determineÌýwhether the walkway renovationsÌýhadÌýpositive impacts in the area.ÌýÌýWe used a mixed-method approach to evaluate residents'Ìýwalking behaviorÌýin the neighborhood and assess how new infrastructure and design featuresÌýhave affected people’s perception of the walking environment. Study results suggestÌýa general need for wider sidewalks and higher quality walking infrastructure in the neighborhood. According to findings, there is no viable proof that alleyway renovations have enhanced pedestrian use. Also, there is a need for more crosswalks around the schools and businesses in Westwood.ÌýÌý
