In December Chipotle Mexican Grill named founder Steve Ells (Art) its sole CEO. Steve had been co-CEO with Monty Moran, who is stepping down and will retire from the company in 2017. Steve will remain chairman of the board of directors.

The School Nurse Organization of Minnesota named Eileen Kern (Kines) 2016 School Nurse Administrator of the Year. She is the supervisor of health services for the Bloomington School District.

In April President Obama nominated Regina Rodriguez (Law) as a U.S. District Court judge in Colorado. Both of the state’s U.S. senators supported the nomination.

In March Janine Davidson (ArchEngr) was sworn in as the 32nd undersecretary of the Navy. A former Air Force pilot, she previously served as a deputy assistant secretary of defense. Janine also has worked as a professor and military analyst and is a published author. She was the first woman to fly the Air Force’s tactical C-130.

Colorado native Brett Limbaugh (Geog; MA’92) took over the leadership of the city of Loveland’s Development Services Department in March. Previously, Brett was the director of community planning and development services for Rapid City, S.D. He has also worked as an entitlement manager for Edgemark Development Services in Denver.

Martin Price (PhDGeo) wrote Mountains:A Very Short Introduction, published this year by Oxford University Press. The book highlights the ways the mountains are affected by climate change and why they are important. Martin is director of the Centre for Mountain Studies at the University of the Highlands and Islands’ Perth College in Scotland, holder of the UNESCO chair in sustainable mountain development and adjunct professor at the University of Bergen, Norway.

Commercial real estate company Trout Daniel & Associates hired Gary Olschansky (Adv) as investment sales associate. In his role, he focuses on the sale of investment real estate in the Baltimore metro area. He has worked in commercial real estate for 30 years.

After retiring from Microsoft in February, Louis Flint Ceci (MCompSci) plans to write more stories and novels about the residents of Croy, Okla., a fictional town in the south-central part of that state and the setting of his 2008 novel Comfort Me. At Microsoft, Louis served as a senior software engineer and worked on Skype for Android, specializing in adapting the user interface for use by the visually impaired.

Asset management and recovery company SquareTwo Financial named Julie Fellows (Bus) chief compliance officer. Julie is in charge of all regulatory compliance initiatives for the company. Before SquareTwo, she worked as CEO and founder of J.A. Fellows and Associates. Julie lives in Lafayette, Colo.

Denver-based Roadhouse Hospitality, owned by brothers John ShippÌý(²Ñ°ì³Ù²µ), Mike Shipp (Fin’83) and Dan Shipp(Econ’83), was planning to open its 16th restaurant and first in Â鶹¹ÙÍø in the historic train depot at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Junction in May. Some of the company’s other restaurants include Spanky’s Urban Roadhouse, The Dusty Boot and Reiver’s Bar and Grill.

Shelley S. Cramm (Psych) published her first book last spring, God’s Word for Gardeners Bible. The devotional gives daily readings highlighting plants, landscapes and gardening metaphors found in the Bible. The book launched Shelley into a new career as a writer, blogger and garden speaker. She and husband Topher Cramm (Fin’86) live in Irving, Texas, with their five children.

In November Janine Davidson (ArchEngr) served as the keynote speaker for Veterans Speak, a two-week celebration of veterans in Â鶹¹ÙÍø. Janine is a senior fellow for defense policy at the Council of Foreign Relations and specializes in defense strategy and policy, military operations, national security and civil-military relations. She served in the Obama Administration from 2009-12 as a deputy assistant secretary of defense. She began her career in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft commander and senior pilot for the C-130 and C-17 cargo aircraft.

Emily Ross (Mus) of Portland, Ore., has her dream job as a music therapist for Oregon’s only year-round school for children with autism. She also runs her own business, Self Express Music Therapy Studio, and is developing another enterprise, HoofnHorn, a sensory-rich place for kids with autism and their families to enjoy horses, music and outdoor play.

Radio Systems Corporation has named Willie Wallace (MBA) of Maryville, Tenn., its chief executive officer. The company develops innovative pet product solutions and services through the PetSafe, SportDOG and Invisible Fence brands. Willie has worked for the company for 15 years and previously served as its chief operating officer.

After working 18 years in television, Neil Brubaker (Bus’88) joined the World Fishing Network, a digital resource for anglers in North America, as its senior director for affiliate sales. Prior to this, Neil spent 16 years at ESPN Media Networks directing its affiliate sales and marketing team, and managing syndication distribution and agreements. He was selected to serve on the advisory boards of the Denver Nuggets season ticket holders and the CU Intercollegiate Taskforce.

°Â°ù¾±³Ù±ð°ùÌýAndrea Jones’ (Engl’88) book Between Urban and Wild: Reflections from Colorado describes what it is like to have her house built in the wild and gives practical tips on how to be safe in unknown territory. She is the owner of Jones Literary Services, which creates back-of-the-book indexes for authors and publishers. Andrea and her husband live in Colorado and have two horses.

MGMA-ACMPE, the largest membership association for U.S. medical practice executives and administrators, named Garth Jordan (Chem’88) chief operating officer. He oversees the general operations and strategic planning for the company. Garth lives in Denver.

Chuck Kostalnick (Econ’88) was appointed executive vice president and chief business officer of Sanmina Corporation, a manufacturing solutions company. Chuck, who has more than 23 years of sales and marketing management experience, provides leadership and strategic direction. He lives in Livermore, Calif.

Chipotle Mexican Grill founder and co-CEO Steve Ells (Art’88)  teamed up with Â鶹¹ÙÍø restaurateurs Bobby Stuckey and Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson to start a casual pizza restaurant called Pizzeria Locale. The restaurant is similar in style to Chipotle in that it serves up pizza in less than two minutes at an assembly line counter. Steve lives in New York.

Ellen Weihe Gorsevski (Hum’88), an associate professor at Bowling Green State University, has published a new book, Dangerous Women. It tells the stories of the 11 women who have won the Nobel Peace Prize to date and explores the persuasive communication strategies and tactics they used for building peace and social justice, offering a close study of their modes of non-violent rhetoric. Ellen lives in Bowling Green, Ohio.
