, who is finishing his MA with and has been admitted to our PhD program, has been awarded a to spend a year in Tromsø, Norway conducting research in rhizosphere ecology - the ecology of interactions between plants and soil microbes around plant root systems. The research aims to increase crop yields and the sustainability of agriculture by enhancing nutrient delivery to plants through the microbial organisms, while reducing the need for fertilizer and chemical use.
