Rene is from Rwanda and received his Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Hendrix College and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø. In the past, he interned at Fermi lab working on Dark Matter production with boosted W/Z bosons at the Large Hadron Collider-LHC. Currently at Cu-Â鶹¹ÙÍø, Rene is a part of the AirWaterGas NSF sustainability research network, focusing on energy scenario modeling. More specifically, he is studying the impacts of oil and gas production and use on ozone formation in the western U.S in different scenarios depending on future natural gas prices and emissions fees. He is a member of Engineers Without Borders at CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø and likes running, hiking, and playing soccer.
