When completing your graduation application, please check that your name is shown as you want it to be on your diploma and in the commencement program. You can change your first and/or middle names on your diploma and commencement program by doing so on the graduation application. The application allows for the addition of special characters such as but not limited to accents and umlauts. You can also add any names missing in the first and middle name fields. On the Office of the Registrar’s Graduation & Commencement website there are step-by-step directions on how to make changes to the diploma name. To edit special characters in your last name (i.e. your surname or family name) on your diploma and in the commencement program, please reach out directly to the Office of the Registrar with the requested changes.Â
