Marc De Schutter serves as the Chief Cycles & Procurement Officer and member of the Board of Danone North America, the purpose-driven food and beverage leader with a diverse portfolio of dairy and plant-based brands. Prior to joining Danone North America in 2014, Marc held different positions in procurement across Belgium, France, Shanghai and Singapore. He began his career as accountant and procurement officer in a family-owned business.
A Belgium-native, Marc holds a Masters in Biochemistry, Business Economics and in Business Administration. He is known for driving procurement around three axes: People, Profit (Top and Bottom Line) and Purpose (Environmental and Social). Marc is a strong believer of supplier driven innovation. Through close partnership with suppliers, he is able to implement breakthrough projects to the benefit of both the company and the consumer.
Over the last 25+ years, Marc and his family have lived abroad and traveled extensively across Europe, Asia and the United States.  When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, walking, reading and playing golf.
