Irma Zavitri, sponsored by the Center for Asian Studies and ALTEC, is a visiting scholar for the 2019-2020 academic year. She holds a BA in English Literature and an MA in English Language Studies from Hasanuddin University, Makassar-South Sulawesi Province, where she currently teaches English. A resident of Makassar, the capital city of South Sulawesi province, Irma’s association with CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø is supported by the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Fulbright Scholarship Program. In addition to teaching Bahasa Indonesian during the academic year, she is taking courses in diverse departments through the CLASP program. Irma is especially interested in the fields of linguistic anthropology and cultural studies. Her research investigates address forms used in the Selayar language, one of Indonesia’s 700 languages.Â
