The Colorado Diversity Initiative's (CDI) mission is to increase the number and success of diverse students earning STEM doctoral degrees at CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø. The CDI can support broader impact plans by:
- providing institutional and national data to meet solicitation guidelines; and
- assisting in preparing a targeted plan to recruit and retain underrepresented STEM PhD students through CDI programs:
- SMART, 10-week summer internship that prepares undergraduates for PhD study
- Colorado Advantage graduate preview recruiting weekend
- Diversity fellowships for admitted STEM PhD applicants as incentive to enroll
- Mentoring and professional development opportunities for STEM doctoral students
