Restorative Justice Volunteer Opportunities
There are several opportunities for students, staff, faculty and community members to become involved in CU Restorative Justice. Volunteers can have an impact by:
- Encouraging fellow Buffs to repair harm.
- ImprovingÌýrelationships with our neighbors.
- Helping strengthen our community on and off campus.

CURJ Community Representative
As a Community Representative, you will have the opportunity to attend conference circles and express your outlook as a community member. Community Representatives are very important in creating a judgement free, open minded environment to restore the student’s relationship with the community. If this is something you might like to do, you can sign up to do a 30 minute training. Once this is complete you’re ready to sign up for conferences and help make our community stronger.

Restorative Justice Facilitator
As a Facilitator, you will create an open and safe space for the student and community representatives. This is done by being an unbiased leading figure in the conference circle. Additionally, you will be constructively keeping everyone on track to restore ties with the community and help repair any harm. If you are interested in taking on a leadership role in the CURJ conferences, you can attend a three-day facilitator training.

CURJ Internship
This internship of offered through the Sociology Department. The CURJ internship aims to give students a well-rounded knowledge base for what Restorative Justice is. You can choose to work on a project about Restorative Justice or learn about Restorative Justice through literature.ÌýAs an intern, you also can be trained as a Community Representative or Facilitator and attend weekly conferences – these trainings also count toward your internship hours.
