See ya later, summer! September 22 is the first day of autumn here in Colorado. As the seasons change, so does the world around us. In this one day adventure, we will explore the changes in living things on our planet as the temperatures start to get cooler. We will investigate the reasons for seasons on planet Earth, explore how animals change their behaviors and appearances when the temperatures start to drop, and observe changes to plants in our own backyard through hands-on activities, simple experiments, and crafts. We will also explore how our changing climate presents new challenges to animals and plants that depend on the timing of autumn to guide their behaviors such as migration, pollination, and preparing for winter hibernation.

What to Bring:

• Backpack for carrying personal items and any class materials they will be taking home. 
• Filled water bottle
• 2 or more snacks, depending on the child's needs
• Lunch that does not require refrigeration 
• All programs spend a portion of each session outside. Please send your child with clothing appropriate for the weather (jacket, sweatshirt and/or rain jacket)

  • Full set of extra clothes in a Ziploc bag.
  • A mask or any additional Personal Protective Equipment the child will be utilizing.

​Grade Policy: Careful consideration is used to determine grade levels for all camps and classes. To provide the highest quality experience for all students, it is necessary to adhere to the specified grade range for this program.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy: Science Discovery has designed its school year cancellation policy to minimize the number of class spots that are unused due to last-minute cancellations. Cancellations made more than 15 days prior to the start of the class will incur a $35 administrative fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 15 days of the start of the class. In the event that a class is cancelled by Science Discovery, registrants will receive a full refund. Transfer requests made up to 15 days prior to the start of a class will incur a $15 administrative fee. Transfer requests made within 15 days of the the start of a class will incur a $35 administrative fee.
