The Center for Educational and Career Transition (WomenÂ’s Center) at the University of Colorado at Â鶹¹ÙÍø has announced the recipients of its 1997 fall semester scholarships.

The recipients were selected from a field of more than 30 candidates. The scholarships are based on academic standing and financial need.

The center awarded three scholarships for students over age 30. Laura Kessler, a 33-year-old architecture major from Colorado Springs, was awarded a $600 scholarship. Li-Yun Hsiao of Â鶹¹ÙÍø, a 40-year-old information systems major with an international business and marketing emphasis, was awarded $300. Wendy DeWall, a 30-year-old molecular, cellular and developmental biology major with an environmental, population and organismic biology minor from Broomfield, was awarded a $300 scholarship.

A graduate scholarship for $600 was awarded to Martha Wingeier of Â鶹¹ÙÍø, an elementary education major.

Undergraduate scholarships were given to two students. Suzanne Till of Â鶹¹ÙÍø, a mechanical engineering major, was awarded a $300 scholarship and Rachel Paul, a psychology and sociology major with a French minor from Woodland Park, was awarded a $300 scholarship.
