The University of Colorado at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Office of Community Relations and Moe's Broadway Bagel are sponsoring a book drive at Moe's Â鶹¹ÙÍø stores, Feb. 28 through March 3, in connection with Read Across America Day on March 2.
Anyone who brings in a new or slightly used children's book to any of the three Â鶹¹ÙÍø stores will receive a free bagel and cream cheese. The offer is limited to one bagel per customer per day.
"Reading is essential for a child's development and imagination," said Moe's Marketing Director Steve Sheldon. "Moe's is more than happy to offer a small incentive if it will help to get more books to more children."
The books will be donated to local schools, shelters and early learning centers. The book drive is one of several events in Â鶹¹ÙÍø observing the National Education Association's Read Across America Day, this year celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday.
