University of Colorado football fans will have the chance to help Â鶹¹ÙÍøÂ’s needy families while they cheer on the Buffs against the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday, Oct. 28.

CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø and Community Food Share will host a food drive at Folsom Stadium that day to collect canned and other non-perishable food, as well as cash contributions, from fans as they enter the stadium.

Oct. 28 is national "Make a Difference Day," designed to promote service activities to benefit the needy and disadvantaged. All donations will go to Community Food Share of Â鶹¹ÙÍø County, which serves more than 115 nonprofit organizations.

The food drive is co-hosted by the CU Athletic Department and the CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø Office of Community Affairs. Both departments plan to make this food drive an annual event.
