High school juniors with diverse backgrounds are invited to apply for a free business leadership program being hosted this summer by the CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø College of Business. Applications will be accepted through April 13.

Students will spend the week of June 17-23 on the Â鶹¹ÙÍø campus learning about business and working on an advertising campaign for corporate sponsors. Students also will gain new computer skills and get a chance to network with business professionals.

To qualify for the program, students must be African-American, Hispanic-Latino, Asian, American Indian or multiracial-biracial. Students also must demonstrate leadership potential, possess an interest in business-related fields, maintain excellent academic standards and complete their junior year in the spring of 2001.

The program allows students to win a $1,000 scholarship to the CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø College of Business, interact with guest speakers from major corporations, meet College of Business faculty and administrators, socialize with CU business students and peers from different high schools, and participate in activities such as bowling and ice skating.

The program is sponsored by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, State Farm Insurance, Level 3 Communications, KPMG, IBM, Sun Microsystems, Verizon and Nestle.
