A roundtable discussion on the experiences of graduates and teachers of the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Japanese Language School during World War II and afterward will be held at the University of Colorado at Â鶹¹ÙÍø on June 8 from 10 a.m. to noon at Old Main Chapel.

According to Lynn Kalinauskas, associate director of the Center for Asian Studies, graduates of the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Navy Language School played a key role in establishing the field of Japanese Studies in the post-war period, as well as contributing to U.S.-Japanese relations in various other fields.
