Kevin Lee, associate director of University Communications at the University of Colorado at Â鶹¹ÙÍø, has been named interim executive director of University Communications while a national search for the permanent position is conducted.

The position was vacated in early July by the departure of Bobbi Barrow, who left the university to join Denver Health Medical Center.

Lee will work closely with interim spokesperson Pauline Hale to ensure effective communications by CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø during the transition period. As campus spokesperson, Hale will take a lead role in representing the Â鶹¹ÙÍø campus on issues of public and media interest. Lee will focus his efforts on coordination of the communication units that make up University Communications and on developing marketing strategies for the campus.

University Communications includes publications and creative services, news services, marketing, community affairs, internal communications and web communications.

Prior to joining CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø in 1999, Lee was president of Walker & Lee, Inc., a Â鶹¹ÙÍø-based advertising agency. His experience includes more than 25 years in brand marketing and advertising with Walker & Lee, the Adolph Coors Co. and Kryptonics, Inc.Ìý

A longtime Â鶹¹ÙÍø resident, Lee is a former Air Force pilot and Vietnam veteran.
