Richard Wobbekind, associate dean of external relations at the CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø Leeds School of Business, has won the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Chamber of Commerce "Member of Distinction" award for his numerous contributions to the organization.
Wobbekind is an economics professor and director of the Business Research Division. He was recognized for his contributions to the chamber and the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Economic Council.
Wobbekind worked with the chamber to identify the economic impact of federal laboratories on Â鶹¹ÙÍø County. He has volunteered with the chamber's Student Leadership Â鶹¹ÙÍø Program, which provides Â鶹¹ÙÍø Valley high school juniors a broader view of civic leadership through direct contact with a wide spectrum of institutions and people that shape the community.
He is responsible for developing and presenting the annual Colorado Business Economic Outlook Forum and various assessments of the state and local economy.
The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Chamber of Commerce is comprised of more than 1,800 members. For the past 97 years, the chamber has honored members who have provided distinguished service to the Â鶹¹ÙÍø community.
