An annual ranking of the Top 25 Law Schools for Hispanics by Hispanic Business magazine places the University of Colorado School of Law 15th among the nation's best law schools for Hispanics.

The ranking, published in the magazine's September 2003 edition, places CU 15th of 25 law schools that offer the best opportunities for Hispanic students.

The ranking is based on a number of factors such as how many Hispanic students are enrolled, the number of Hispanic faculty members, Hispanic student service programs, retention rates and reputation.

"We are delighted with the ranking," said law school Dean David Getches. "Many of Colorado's Latino lawyers, judges, elected officials and community leaders are CU law school graduates. Our goal is to continue to enhance the tradition of legal education that has been part of their lives."

The Hispanic Business magazine has reported on Hispanic business and financial news for 22 years.
