CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø Friends of the Libraries will hold its annual community Information Day on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Center for British Studies on the fifth floor of Norlin Library on the University of Colorado at Â鶹¹ÙÍø campus. Entrance to the library is through the west door.
Information Day is intended to familiarize citizens with the contents of CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø's libraries and to inform them of methods to access the libraries' resources.
Following coffee and welcomes from Jim Williams, dean of the CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø libraries, and Claudine Garby, president of Friends of the Libraries, guests will tour Special Collections and the computer lab.
At noon Barbara Greenman, a librarian in Norlin's Science Library, will present a lecture titled "To Your Health," in which she will explain how to research medical information at Norlin Library and on the Web. A light catered lunch will be served.
Information Day is sponsored by the Daily Camera. Pay parking will be available at the Euclid Avenue Autopark.
