Student moving into dorm room with bicycle in backgroundAs you prepare to leave campus for fall break, please remember to properly secure your bike. The best way to do this is to move your bike from one of the outside racksÌýinto your apartment or dorm room.

Per the residence hall handbook, bikes may be kept in your room, but you cannot store your bike in public areas of the residence halls such as stairwells, by doorways (inside or out), on hand rails, in the laundry areas, loungesÌýor other common areas. Bikes that are stored in prohibited areas will be impounded by the CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø Police Department.

Please note, you may not ride your bike inside the residence hallÌýwhile moving itÌýto your room.

If you need to keep it outside on one of our racks, please be sure to secure it properly by parking on a bike rack that is in a well-lit and heavily traveled area and secure your bike with a U-lock style of bike lock that goes around the bike rack as well as the bike’s frame and front tire.

Additionally, make sure your through the CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø program.

Have a safe and restful fall break, and we look forward to seeing you when you return, ready to finish strong.
