Bennett notes skeptics and supporters of human-induced global warming often lack the ability to sufficiently explain or make a case against it. In his talk, Bennett will provide the foundation to speak intelligently about the science behind global warmingand show why his solutions resonate with people of all political persuasions.

Despite the “gloom and doom” that often surrounds this topic, Bennett'ssolutions are ones that will not only protect the world for future generationsbut will actually lead to a stronger economy with energy that is cheaper, cleanerand more abundant than the energy we use today.

Bennett has more than 30 years of experience in teaching and writing about science and mathematics. In his book, he writes:

“One of the primary problems with science education (both in the United States and globally) is that we too often allow students—or the public—to get hung up on details before they understand the key ‘big picture’ ideas. Global warming offers a prime example, because the media debate is filled with endless arguments about topics like the intricacies of computer models or climate feedbacks, even while the basic science is almost completely ignored.”

Bennett holds a doctoratein astrophysical, planetaryand atmospheric sciences from CU 鶹. He is based in 鶹.
