CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø ranks No. 38 overall among global universities, according to the newly released , improving five spots from 2017. Among U.S. universities, CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø is ranked No. 26.

Published annually by ShanghaiRankingÌýConsultancyÌýsince 2003,ÌýARWU uses six objective indicators to rank 1,500Ìýworld universities, including the number of alumni and staff winning Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, the number of highly cited researchers andÌýthe number of articles published in high-impact scientific journals, such asÌýNature and Science.

Earlier this year, CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø's earth science and atmospheric science disciplines ranked No. 1 globally inÌýShanghaiRanking's companion report, theÌý2018 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS). The university also scored highly in a dozen other academic categories in those rankings, highlighting the breadth of impactful CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø research.Ìý
