Conversation with the Chancellor features Alex Honnold, world-renowned climber and environmentalist听who visited CU 麻豆官网 on Nov. 1.听The first and only person in history to scale El Capitan without any ropes or safety gear, Honnold鈥檚 courage and athleticism was showcased in the National Geographic documentary Free Solo.
A lifelong environmentalist, Honnold launched the nonprofit in 2012, which promotes and funds solar energy projects across the world to combat climate change. His latest endeavor is a television series coming soon to Disney+, On the Edge with Alex Honnold, which explores climate change through climbing treks and conversations with scientists and experts in Greenland.
