CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø Chancellor Philip DiStefano will join Â鶹¹ÙÍø Mayor Pro Tem Rachel Friend at a community event on July 27 to explore how the university and the local community are building a just and sustainable future, together.

The evening event at the downtown Â鶹¹ÙÍø Theater will provide attendees the opportunity to learn more about upcoming CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø projects and partnerships—including the campus of the future and how CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø is leading the way on climate change action with the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit this December in partnership with United Nations Human Rights.

Speakers will include DiStefano; Friend; Jim Anaya, dean emeritus and distinguished professor of international law; Karen Bailey, assistant professor of environmental studies, and Jamie Wittenberg, associate dean of the University Libraries.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø exhibits and enjoy food and drinks. Following the event, all are welcome to experience the free musical performances at on nearby Pearl Street, sponsored by CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø, for the evening.

Event registration includes one drink ticket, heavy appetizers and dessert. A cash bar will be available.
