Two faculty elected to National Academy of Engineering

The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has elected Distinguished Professor Daniel J. Scheeres, a CU 鶹 aerospace engineer who has an asteroid named after him, and Adjunct Professor Philippe Spalart, a Boeing Technical Fellow, to its 2017 class. Election to the NAE is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer.

Implementation committee for new A&S Core Curriculum launches

Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences (A&S) voted in September to implement a new set of General Education requirements that will replace the current A&S Core Curriculum. The implementation process began with appointment of the General Education Implementation Committee (GEIC), an ad hoc committee of the Arts and Sciences Council.
