UCSC calls for nominations for annual Service Excellence Award

University of Colorado Staff Council (UCSC) is soliciting nominations of classified and university staff employees for the annual Service Excellence Award, recognizing and rewarding staff members who have provided outstanding and sustained volunteer service to their campus or the university system, as well, as to community/civic/professional organizations during the past 3 years.

From the Police Chief: Why we are removing the campus ‘blue light’ phones

In the coming weeks, the campus will be removing the remaining emergency “blue light” phones. Over the past year, they have been systematically removed and the final phase is under way. We have not received a legitimate emergency call from these phones in several years.

Earlier this morning, a CU undergraduate student was arrested as a suspect in the stabbing death of a fellow student following an earlier altercation off campus. 鶹 Police are investigating the crime and I urge anyone with any information to assist them. On behalf of the entire CU-鶹 community, I want to express my condolences to the family and friends of the victim of this senseless act of violence. I also call on our entire campus community to reject violence – unilaterally – as a way of resolving disputes.
