Biography:
Maria is a Latina first generation student graduating with a bachelor's degree in Political science and Ethnic Studies. Along with two minors in multicultural leadership and Women & Gender Studies. She is also a part of the Miramontes Arts & Sciences Program (MASP), McNeill Student success program, and Multicultural Leadership Scholars program During her undergraduate career she was able to take part in two research projects, present at conferences, and publish a paper in the 2022 CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø Honors journal. She would like to thank her friends, mentors, and family for the constant support and encouragement. A special thanks to Dr. Celeste Montoya for their opportunity to be their research assistant for two years. In the fall Maria will be continuing her education at CU Â鶹¹ÙÍø in the Master of Higher Education program.
