Core Facilities are essential resources that support the needs of numerous investigators across our campus. As such, the Research and Innovation Office has developed multiple programs within the Shared Instrumentation Network to facilitate the stability and use of our Core Facilities.

Impact Reports

All recipients of Shared Instrumentation support funds must agree to submit an annual impact report for three full fiscal years (three reports in total). Failure to provide the report may result in the Principal Investigator (PI)Ìýand/or the Core from being disqualified from future funding opportunities.

Awardees will be notified to submit their report and an appropriate link provided. Example details to be included in the report include:

  • PI and Award Information
    • Name
    • Department
    • Project Title
    • Core Facility/ies involved
  • Student involvement and support
    • Number of students, postdocs and investigators that benefited from the award/used the supported resource
  • Publications that resulted from the award
    • Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
    • Title
    • Pending publications
  • Additional funding
    • Awarded Grants including award number and funding agency
    • Pending awards
  • Comments about the Support Program
    • What do you like and what could be improved
