CU Alumna Astronaut To Talk At CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø Sept. 23 About Shuttle Flight

University of Colorado at Â鶹¹ÙÍø alumna Kalpana Chawla, a mission specialist on a 1997 NASA shuttle flight, will talk about her experiences Wednesday, Sept. 23, in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. Chawla flew aboard the space shuttle Columbia in November 1997. Also on the mission was Takao Doi, a former postdoctoral fellow and adjoint professor in CU's aerospace engineering department.

In the spirit of Homecoming and Greek pride, CU Panhellenic Association is sponsoring the first annual Parade of Sorority Homes on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The tour of sorority houses "will allow the public a unique opportunity to view some of Â鶹¹ÙÍø's most beautiful and historic homes," according to Cristin Brown, director of community relations for the Panhellenic Association.

Pre-Game Tailgate Party Set For CU Alumni And Friends On Sept. 19

CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø Announces Largest Frosh Class Ever, Slight Overall Student Increase

The University of Colorado at Â鶹¹ÙÍø has enrolled its largest freshman class ever this fall with 4,281 first-year students entering campus, contributing to a total enrollment of 25,125. The total is up slightly from fall 1997 enrollment of 25,109. The enrollment increase continues a trend of planned, moderate increases on the Â鶹¹ÙÍø campus since 1995, when total enrollment was 24,440, according to Lou McClelland, director of institutional analysis. CU-Â鶹¹ÙÍø's highest ever enrollment was 25,571 in 1991.

Seminars, luncheons and "FAC" (Friday Afternoon Club) parties will reunite the classes of 1953, ‘58, ‘63, ‘68, ‘73, ‘78, ‘83, ‘88 and ‘93 all day Friday, Sept. 25.
